A park name without a sector is incomplete
Ask whether the itinerary uses Sirena, San Pedrillo, La Leona, or another official access point, how the group arrives, and how much actual trail time remains. A Drake Bay boat trip and a Puerto Jiménez road or hike arrangement cannot be compared only by price.
Overnight value comes from a second field window
The reason to accept basic station lodging is usually the early and late trail opportunity, not comfort. Confirm bed or sleeping arrangement, meals, drinking water, luggage rules, electricity, showers, guide time, and what happens if sea or road access fails.
Season and closure rules can override the plan
Corcovado access, station operation, sea conditions, trail conditions, and annual restrictions can change. Recheck official information immediately before paying and again before travel. Build one recovery night into the Osa route rather than connecting directly to a flight.
